I know people exactly like this in #Boston Sully and Denise Cold Open: http://bit.ly/rHMSMe @nbc @JimmyFallon was awesome on @nbcsnl

Something I’ve been waiting to do for the last few years is get lasik eye correction. I was told in college by my regular eye doctor that it was something I could consider..
About a month ago I went online and made it happen. I searched online and found Boston Laser. I filled out a few quick questions on their website and the next day I was contacted to schedule an appointment to learn more about the procedure. I did my online research and filled out my patient information through the bostonlaser.com website.
The day of my appointment I hopped on the T to their convenient Brookline office after work on a Wednesday. I was promptly greeted by the staff and walked though each of the regular eye exams you go though with any other eye appointment. The staff was great! Each test was thoroughly explained to me so I knew what was going on. There was one additional test I wasn’t accustomed to it was called a wavescan. Which create a map of your eye. My eyes were dilated and then I met with Dr. Melki. He explained to me what type of laser vision correction was right for me and walked me through the process of LASIK. I asked a few additional questions, which he answered, and we agreed to the lasik procedure.
Next up, I settled on the payment option that worked for me.  Using my FSA money I was able to get affordable interest free payments. I was excited that I was finally going to be able to make this happen. They do all of their lasik procedure appointments on Fridays and had an opening for the following Friday. I couldn’t believe I could get the procedure scheduled so quickly.
When I arrived back at the office 2 days later I was greeted in the lobby by one of the staff and she remembered my name. I signed some paperwork and then taken back and walked through what I needed to take care after the surgery. Then, I was given a Valium to relax as I waited for my eyes to dilate.  I went into the “laser room” sat back, kept my eye on the binky light. The procedure was quick and painless. I was able to sit up and walk to my room without glasses. Afterwards, I kept my eyes shut for about 30 mins and was checked out by the doctor again. My girlfriend and I grabbed a ride with uber so that I could get home without having to ride the subway. I took a nap and woke up I could see clearly without my glasses!
The next day I went to my brief follow up appointment where the doctor took another look at my eyes and everything was good to go. That day I was able to get some of my Christmas shopping done around town.
Now, when I wake up I can read the numbers on the dvd player, and see my feet in the shower. It has been a whole new experience. I still sometimes find myself reaching for my glasses just out of habit. My eyes are now 20/20. It’s really been awesome so far!
Everyone at Boston Laser made me feel comfortable. They answered my questions and walked me though everything I needed know. I had a great experience and I’m very pleased with the results.

So, the 2 biggest radio companies are joining forces. @clearchannel’s digital mobile service @iheartradio and Cumulus Media are getting together to share some digital properties. iHeartRadio is going to soon stream 570 Cumulus stations from 120 different markets around the country and Clear Channel Radio is going to going to advertise Cumulus’ daily deals site sweetjack.com.
Both companies are going to leverage their internet & radio presence to promote these products. So, iHeartRadio is going to be promoted on-air on all 570 Cumulus radio stations, as well as all of the respective station websites. Clear Channel will begin promoting the sweetjack.com website on its 850 stations plus their digital properties as well.
So once sweetjack.com goes nationwide in 2012 it will be advertised on about 1400+ radio stations and websites.
I think this is going to be a HUGE deal. It’s great to see these 2 companies working together to promote these digital platforms. Our world is going to get more interesting as some of these huge companies begin working together in the online world.

Do Opt-In Lists Really Perform Better Than Opt-Out?
This is one of those things that most email marketing experts agree on - but we’ve little recent data to prove the point. My theory is that it’s such “conventional wisdom” that people have stopped testing it - the same way they don’t do any more studies to see if smoking causes cancer. Those in t…

This is a very cool device called “Twine” its being worked on by @supermechanical

Imagine getting an email when the washer is done or receiving a tweet when someone opens a door. There are limitless possibilities with this device and you get to set it up yourself. I’d be really interested to play with one of these for awhile. Learn more about Twine.

Twine is currently on kickstarter.com looking for funding.
